The Berlin Philharmonic's first recording of "Mahler: Symphony No. 9," which demonstrates that when a great conductor and a great orchestra meet, they can produce such a terrific performance, and the will of both to perform the music takes the work to new heights. No. 5," his final Mahler recording, which demonstrates the core of Barbirolli's playing.
