A Tribe Called Quest
Description:
Formed in 1988, the group consists of NY-based MC Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, Phife (d. 2016), and DJ Ali Shaheed. Together with the Jungle Brothers and De La Soul, they were known as "Native Tongue" and created a new trend in hip-hop called "New School," representing the golden era of hip-hop in the 1990s. This is the second masterpiece album released in 1991. The album is a fusion of jazz, the origin of jazzy hip-hop, and Q-Tip's slow, sticky flow over dry wood bass was called "jazz rap" at the time, showing a new style that did not exist in the old style.
