Since their debut in 2014 with the self-titled album, the band—composed of just a bassist and vocals & drums—a minimal lineup—they shot to fame as one of Britain’s proudest rock acts with their massive rock sound driven by unstoppable riffs, and in recent years have become a particularly bright star in the history of great British rock. Their latest album, *DEADCOMPANY*, marks their first release in about three years since 2023’s *BACKTOTHEWATERBELOW*. This album heralds the beginning of a powerful new chapter for Royal Blood. After wrapping up the tour for their previous album in the summer of 2024 and taking a brief hiatus from the spotlight, Royal Blood’s duo—Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher—entered the studio in 2025 with nothing but a simple ambition: “Two people, twelve notes, and see what we can do within those infinite possibilities.” With that simple ambition in mind, they entered the studio in 2025.
