Since his return to Chandos, Nämme Järvi, the eldest member of the Järvi family, has been releasing new recordings at an astonishing pace. The new addition to the project, which began in 2010 with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and continues to receive favorable reviews for its orchestral works by two great "Norwegian" composers, Halvorsen and Svendsen, is the "Swedish" Kut Attterberg (1887-1974)! Kut Atterberg was a composer, cellist, critic, electrical engineer, employee of the patent office in Stockholm, president of the Swedish Society of Composers and the Swedish Copyright Society, and many other things.Järvi's "Orchestral Works Vol. 1" includes "Symphony No. 4," composed in 1918 and featuring folk melodies from his native Sweden, and "Symphony No. 6 《Dollarsymphonie》," which won the first prize in the "Schubert 100th Anniversary Composition Competition" held by the Columbia Gramophone Company in 1928, The album contains four works: "Symphony No. 6 "Dollar Symphony,"" which won the first prize of $10,000 in the "100th Anniversary of Schubert's Death Competition" sponsored by Columbia Gramophone Company in 1928, and at the same time brought him worldwide fame; "Vermland Rhapsody," composed for Nobel laureate Selma Lagerlöf's 75th birthday; and "Suite No. 3" with solo violins and violas.
