MICHELLE, a New York-based six-piece mixed-gender/racial/ethnicity collective, has been attracting the attention of early listeners with their groovy R&B sound centered on four female vocal harmonies and analog synths, and now they are releasing their long-awaited new album. They will be releasing a long-awaited new album.MICHELLE consists of Sofia D'Angelo, Julian Kaufman, Charlie Kilgore, Layla Ku, Emma Lee, and Jamee Lockard, all born and raised in New York City, but with diverse backgrounds. They are a collective, not a band, and all take charge of songwriting and production, creating a sound that is uniquely their own. Their debut album "HEATWAVE", which was produced in just two weeks, was released in 2018 and immediately attracted media attention from NME, FADER, and others, followed by the release of "SUNRISE", "UNBOUND", and later a remix version featuring CHAI from Japan. After signing with ATLANTIC RECORDS / TRANSGRESSIVE RECORDS, they will release their debut album "AFTER DINNER WE TALK" in 2022. DINNER WE TALK DREAMS" in 2022.Three singles from the album, "MESS U MADE," "SYNCOPATE," and "POSE," were released and were highly praised by NYLON (USA) as "music that defies categorization" and MTV (USA) as "fascinating. As a live act, the band has also honed their skills through headlining tours in the UK/UK and Europe, tours with Mitsuki and Arlo Parks, and appearances at venues such as Lollapalooza. (1/2)
