The world's attention is focused on a "dream opera" composed by the oboe virtuoso Heinz Holliger, who is considered one of the most versatile and extraordinary musicians working today. Heinz Holliger's "dream opera," "Lunaia," had its world premiere at the Zurich Opera House and attracted a great deal of attention. The work is interwoven with the life and spirit of the Hungarian-born Austrian poet Nikolaus Franz Niembusch (1802-1850), who wrote under the name Nikolaus Lönau. Lenau's last written fragments inspired Holliger's imagination to create a complex and inventive work.
