This album of baroque masterpieces features not only popular original concertos such as Neruda and Tartini, but also arrangements often played on the trumpet and familiar masterpieces sung with brilliance and beauty. ＜Born in San Cristobal, Venezuela in 1981, Francisco Flores began playing the trumpet at the age of eight.He has studied throughout Europe, the United States, and Latin America under the tutelage of leading players such as Pierre Thibaud, Eric Obier, Yoko Harjanne, Reinhold Friedrich, and Rolf Smedvick. He was the first Latin American trumpet player to win numerous prestigious trumpet competitions in Europe, and made his first visit to Japan with the Simon Bolivar Brass Quintet, which he himself leads, as well as with the Saito Kinen Orchestra.
