Description:

Released in 1964, "One" was Bob James' second solo album. Members participating in the album included Steve Gadd on drums, Idris Muhammad, Grover Washington on saxophone, and Gary King on bass. The recording was done at Van Helder Studios, a favorite of producer Creed Tyler. The album is a historical masterpiece with many great songs, especially the recording "Nautilus," which has been used in more than 350 hip-hop tracks as a sampling source known to hip-hop lovers. An offcial single 7" was exhibited at Record Store Day 2020 last year and sold out in no time. For this reissue, the album will be re-mastered and released on 180g weight vinyl for the first time as a reissue. In addition, the Japan distribution version will be released in a limited edition of 1,000 copies on clear vinyl, exclusive to the Asian region, making it a valuable work for Bob James and jazz collectors.
