Soraya

Description:

The unit "soraya" consists of pianist Kento Tsubosaka and bassist/vocalist Benina Ishikawa, who are gaining attention as part of the new generation of Jazz musicians. Hitori," which was released earlier, is soraya's first song about constellations and can be called soraya's theme song. "Chiisaku Sayonara wo" was released at the same time and features a pleasant atmosphere with piano, percussion, and flute ensemble. It is a fusion of melodies that anyone can relate to, like a children's song. Baku," released as the second single, is, as the title suggests, a baku work song about a phantom animal, the tapir. In addition to a rhythm machine, the track employs various rhythms inspired by ethnic music, and the repetition of "BAKU BAKU..." becomes a habitual part of the song. is a song that makes the listener addicted to it. The third single, "Mimi wo Sumimasete" is a magnificent pop song with the theme of "freedom" and incorporates elements of Jazz, Baku's home music. The fourth single, "Yutopia," is a reinterpretation of exotica by soraya, introducing marimba and strings, resulting in a gorgeous, romantic sound. The lyrics were inspired by Carl Busse's "You, Mountain". The song "In the Wind," which is included on the album other than the preceding single, has a sound like running forward in the great outdoors. The lyrics were written by Ruri Matsumura. The song "Lucy" has a warm feeling like a film image with beautiful acoustic guitar playing throughout. Record" is a Japanese city pop/song song in the soraya style. It is accented with a cute but quirky melody. The album closes with a cover of Spitz's "Ai no Shirushi (Sign of Love)," featuring a simple piano, vocals, and bass. Sound production features a number of up-and-coming musicians who are close friends of soraya. Recording/mixing was done by Toshihiko Kasai and Masayuki Yoshii.
