In April 2021, Olivia Belli announced an exclusive contract with Sony Music's new XXIM Records label and released "Visions to Come," a new song from her debut album "Sol Novo." Since then, he has collaborated with Huger, Ed Carlsen, and Slow Meadow on "Winter Variations" and "Somnio Novo," as well as studying the great musicians of history on "Sonus Noctis" and "Of Time Bach Variations. She has shown her musical range as an artist and pianist, and now she is releasing a work that is a transparent expression of her inner inspiration and unique beauty. Everyone has a place that is most precious to them. Now is the time to find it." (Olivia Belli) While Belli's deep connection with the natural world has always been the source of her creativity, in her latest work she looks beyond the material world and attempts to get closer to the spiritual world, as she describes it, "to be free of things, to be alone with oneself and one's soul. With the image of such an ideal place in mind, he visited eight locations close to his home in the Marche region of central Italy for field recordings. In these works, which he wrote in his home studio, each place and its mental landscape become one, and the music beautifully expresses scenes that cannot be expressed in words. The album is also elaborately structured. The eight pieces on the album are likened to the medieval musical scale called "octoecos," or "eight keys," and are likened to "a path from the weight of material life to spiritual bliss and perfection, as one moves from darkness to light. In addition, you can visit the various locations according to the order of recording, and the "breath" in between means rest on the way. From "Soul I," which marks the start of the journey, to "Sybil," which marks the end of the journey, the beautiful arpeggios in the main and parallel keys are appealing throughout the album. While the sparkling grand piano is highlighted in the toccata of "Amber Maze," which wanders through a cave with no exit, and in the lilting melody of "Sybil," which stands atop a steep peak, "Breath" uses an upright piano and features felted, rounded tones and ambience created by reverberation. Recorded at Galaxy Studios in Belgium, known for its cutting-edge sound technology such as Auro-3D, the album features John Metcalf (viola), known as a composer/arranger for U2, Coldplay, Peter Gabriel, and Blur, as well as Louisa Fuller (violin) and Chris Warsi (cello), and the ensemble of Louisa Fuller (violin) and Chris Worthy (cello) invite lyricism. The music and the eight places Belli visited are as follows The House of Life, an ancient Jewish cemetery in Pesaro. Beth Haim means "house of life" in Hebrew. The temple at the entrance to the Frasassi Caves in the Marche. Diomedea, Tremiti Islands, Adriatic Sea. The legendary island was created by the Greek hero Diomedes, who threw three stones into the sea. Mirando, a hill in Recanati that inspired the Italian poet Giacomo Leopardi to write his masterpiece "Infinity. Pian Perduto, one of the three valleys surrounding the plateau where the village of Castelluccio was located. The Labyrinth of Amber, the grotto of Le Grotte del Cantinone in Osimo. The Friars, the monastery of San Francesco in Venarotta. Sybil, Mount Sybil in the Apennines. According to legend, there is a cave inhabited by a soothsayer called the Sibyl of the Apennines.
