The project grew out of casual sessions with friends JACKSON PHILLIPS (DAY WAVE) and ZACHARY COLE SMITH (DIIV), and this is the debut album, nearly three years and 60 demos later, Stereogum is "where 90s lo-fi meets shoegaze" and Gorilla vs. Bear NIRVANA "SERVE THE SERVANTS", THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN "DARKLANDS", and THE STONE ROSES "I'm Not A Soul", The band's compelling songs are a condensation of the royal road of static and dynamic songwriting represented by opening tracks from legends such as NIRVANA "SERVE THE SERVANTS," THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN "DARKLANDS," and THE STONE ROSES "I WANNA BE ADORED" and are full of appeal to all indie, alternative, and shoegaze fans!
