For over 40 years, she has challenged audiences worldwide while simultaneously moving them deeply through her diverse body of work spanning music, visual art, poetry, film, and photography. Nonesuch Records is releasing “LETX=X,” an album capturing the electrifying live performances by Laurie Anderson and the jazz band Sex Mob from 2023.\n\nComprising 23 tracks across a 2-CD set or 3-LP set, *LETX=X* features Laurie Anderson performing this magnificent live show alongside an exceptionally powerful lineup: Steven Bernstein and Brigant Klaus (brass), Kenny Wolsen (percussion), Douglas Wieselmann (wind instruments, guitar), and Tony Shearer (bass)—an exceptionally powerful lineup. The album features new arrangements of many of the favorites that have highlighted her illustrious career, as well as a cover of “Junior Dad” by Lou Reed and Metallica. Also available as a lead track from the album is “Let X=X,” a song from her landmark album *BIGSCIENCE* that serves as the title track for this release. Furthermore, the album cover and inner packaging feature paintings created by Anderson herself.\n\nThe New York Times reviewed their concert at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) as follows:\n“It was by no means a historical reenactment of past recordings. The sound produced by Sex Mob is far more substantial than that of Anderson’s original albums. Boasting exceptional musicians capable of playing both electric guitar and bass clarinet, they presented a rich and varied array of textures throughout the evening.”\nHere lies a new sonic journey born from the encounter between Laurie Anderson—one of the greatest contemporary popular artists and an exceptional storyteller—and a jazz combo.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Nonesuch","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52836076060961,"sku":"75597893298","price":1057.0,"currency_code":"TWD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/75597893298.jpg?v=1781201932","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/zh-tw\/products\/75597893298","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
