Needless to say, the band's performances, which get to the essence of the music of masters such as Duke Ellington and John Lewis, have been highly acclaimed.

And now, for this album, the members of the group have come together to transcend generations.

The 29-year-old Diehl's trio is fronted by Bruce Harris, who is also in his 20s, and the great masters Benny Golson and Joe Temperley! Both maestros are 85 years old. The difference in age from top to bottom is half a century. However, the concept is unwavering.

In a word, a performance firmly rooted in tradition and carrying on history!

Each of the eight performances features a guest artist, depending on the song, but the resolve is clear from the opening. The core trio performance was composed by Walter Davis, Jr. and was in the repertoire of Art Blakey! Deal's mentor, Kenny Washington, was fortunate enough to have learned this song directly from its composer, Walter Davis, Jr. and it seems that Aaron himself was particularly aware of his connection to the great master when he encountered this song. The swingy and groovy performance is truly a tribute to this history. M7, another of the eight pieces performed by the trio, is a composition by Aaron Diehl that also features Bud Powell. This piece will remind many fans of Powell's Blue Note performances. This finger movement, indeed, is superb! It is a great performance.

However, the performance is not limited to bop/hard bop, but goes back to the days of Harlem. In particular, M2 is a ballad number full of dandyism featuring the austere baritone of Temperley, who has played in many big bands such as the Ellington Orchestra, Woody Herman, and Sadomel. M4 is a suite-like composition featuring the young Harris and the great Golson. The muted trumpet also adds a rich atmosphere to the 13-minute piece, which moves back and forth from the world of the 20s and 30s to the present day.

The cover art is both abstract and zen-like, and gives the impression of a talented artist on the verge of turning 30 who is deepening his expression.

Tracklisting:

1.Uranus
2.Steadfast Titan, The
3.Flux Capacitor
4.Organic Consequence
5.Kat's Dance
6.Santa Maria
7.Broadway Boogie Woogie
8.Space, Time, Continuum
