His works are characterized by skillful orchestration, lively rhythms, attention to tonality, and occasional dissonances, and this album, his seventh for the NAXOS label, includes works that are uniquely his. The Chamber Concerto was written while Zador was still in Vienna. The Suite for Horns, Strings, and Percussion was performed for the first time after his death. The \"Hungarian Scherzo of 1975\" and \"Suite for Horns, Strings, and Percussion\" show the changes in Zadl's creative style over a period of more than 40 years. The album ends with a gorgeous \"Festive Music\" that sings about the joys of life. Mauriš Smoley is a Polish-born conductor who has performed around the world, and NAXOS has recorded a series of Zadol's works as well as those of Andrzej Panuchnik, Miklós Lozja, Grażyna Bacewicz, and others.
