The album features uplifting synth sounds, catchy melodies with Hot Chip's signature, lively UK garage-style percussion, and sweet vocals on the single "Hungry Child," as well as colorful melodies, unparalleled vocal expression, and electronic pop that will make you want to move your body uncontrollably. The album features a career-high lineup of songs with colorful melodies, unparalleled vocal expression, electronic pop rhythms that make you want to move your body, and synth layers that beautifully capture euphoria, sadness, and all kinds of emotions.They also tried their hand at working with outside producers for the first time, with French master Philippe Zedahl, who created the captivating sound of Phoenix, and Roddy MacDonald, a Scottish producer who has worked with The XX, David Byrne, and Sanfa, among others. The artwork is by Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller.
