I wanted to make an album that just sings, and what better music than the great American Songbook of the 60s and 70s? I drew inspiration from Levi Stubbs, David Ruffin, Jimmy Ruffin, Iceman Jerry Butler, Diana Ross, Dobie Gray, Scott Walker, and many others. I wanted to do justice to all of them and to the wonderful composers of this glorious music.It is my goal to have modern audiences experience the beauty and joy of these songs as I have since I first heard them. E Street Horns, Sam Moore on guest vocals, Susie Tyrell on backing vocals, and Lisa Harris on vocals. Suzy Tyrell, Lisa Lowell, Michelle Moore, Curtis King Jr. Full string arrangements by Rob Mathes. Recorded at Thrill Hill Recording in New Jersey, the album was produced by Ron Aniello, engineered by Rob Riblett, and executive produced by John Landau.This release is Bruce Springsteen's 21st studio album since 2020's "Letter To You" (Columbia Records), which reached #1 in 11 countries. Springsteen will begin a world tour with the legendary E Street Band in February 2023.
