Johanna Marzi (1924-1979) was a Hungarian-born virtuoso, but due to the Cold War and sexual harassment, she was not blessed with many recordings. However, her Dvořák concerto with Hrichaj is still regarded today as one of the best performances of the same piece. This is an excellent project to collect Marzi's masterpieces in a six-disc set. The aforementioned Dvorak and Bach's trademark "Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin" are also included. This is a rare box set that allows you to enjoy Marzi's supreme art at a reasonable price.
