Mogg's program combines Scarlatti's originals with transcriptions by composer-pianist Carl Tausig and Ignaz Friedman, as well as "Chaconne on a Theme by Scarlatti" by Walter Gieseging.A feast of Scarlatti's "originals," which were a great leap forward from baroque keyboard works, and "transcriptions," which evolved into the 19th and 20th century styles by Tausig and Friedman, will be illuminated by Scarlatti.
