ATLANTIC OCEAN's Sten Bergman (organ/flu), Gunnar Bergsten (sax), and Erik Dahlback (dr) formed the band in 1970. One of the most important bands in the Scandinavian psychedelic/progressive rock scene in the 1970s, formed in 1970 by Sten Bergman (organ/flu), Gunnar Bergsten (sax), and Erik Dahlback (drums) of the Scandinavian psychedelic/progressive rock group BO Hans Hansen, the '71 debut from Silence in Sweden, has been reissued in a double analog set with a bonus disc in '24! This is an anomalous disc consisting of studio recordings made in January '71 and live recordings from the Stockholm show in December '70 and the festival appearance in November '70. The album has a rugged sound that forcibly combines the psychedelic, oriental, and folkloric tones of HANDGJORT, in which some members participated, with the aggressive jazz-rock orientation that has strengthened in later works.The ensemble is primitive and anarchic, but with a restrained Scandinavian coolness and enthusiasm. Bonus disc LP2 includes "Mr. Beatiful" Collage Fran Konserthuset from the Stockholm show in December '70, and "Gulan (Fran Pistolteatern)" from the Pistolteatern show in February '72. Mastered by Anders Lind The master was newly remastered in '23 by Anders Lind. Limited analog vinyl edition, 2LPs, 3 Bonus Tracks, 2023 Remaster.
