Emerald's first full-length album in seven years, "Neo Oriented," is now available on vinyl with liner notes by Tsuya-chan, a writer and editor who supervised the "Alternative R&B Disc Guide" and has written numerous articles on fashion, hip-hop, and various other cultural topics. The LP will be released in the following edition. Emerald is a six-piece band that has captivated fans with their groovy, urban, and sophisticated songwriting.This is the first full-length album in seven years, and from the opening track, A1 "You & I," one can fully enjoy the pleasant floating sensation created by the harmony between the lustrous and rich nighttime mood of the sound and the emotional falsetto vocals of the vocalist, Yosuke Nakano. The song continues with A2 "in the mood," a neo-soul number reminiscent of D'Angelo, and A3 "Pendulum," a rather fresh J-pop approach with its modulation of the last chorus. This is a masterpiece that establishes their one and only sound, which can not be put away in one word, "city pop".
