The best of Rita Mitsuko, a leading French rock duo unit known for their hit "Marcia Baila. This definitive album is a must-have for fans, covering every one of their best-known songs, including songs produced by Connie Plank and Tony Visconti, collaborations with Sparks, and movie theme songs. Rita Mitsko is a French band formed in 1980 by guitarist Fred Sichan and vocalist Catherine Ringer. Their best-known songs include "Marcia Baila" (1984), which reached No. 2 on the National Charts, and "Les Amants," the theme song from the movie "Pont Neuf's Lover. Fred passed away in 2007 due to illness, and the group's activities came to an end. However, the group's fame transcends the boundaries of genres and generations and is still talked about today. The best of Rita Mitsuko is now available on the French label Bico's Music, which also releases Catherine's solo works. The CD is a stand-alone version without the DVD, which will be released in 2019.(1) "Marcia Baila" was produced by Connie Plank, (2) "Andy" and (6) "C'est Comme ca" by Tony Visconti. (4) "Hip Kit" and (7) "Singing in the Shower" are collaborations with Sparks. (14) "Ding Ding Dong" and (15) "Meme Si" are from the last album "Variety" released just before Fred passed away.
