Yotaro Ishikawa, known as the bassist of the instrumental band "GROUP" since the early 2000s, will start his own label, FABRE RECORD, in 2022! The first release will be an analog release of his first solo work "WHISPER DIVE". In the early 2000s, Ishikawa began his career as the bassist of the instrumental band "GROUP" and continued his band activities, including providing music for the movie "Ping Pong", before opening "BAR FABRE" in Tokyo in 2012. In 2022, he launched a new label "FABRE RECORD" and released his first full-length album "WHISPER DIVE" as the first volume! All of the music is electric bass only, except for the rhythm. However, the work, which makes full use of bows, harmonics, chords, etc., has a breadth that makes it hard to believe that it is only one electric bass, and after listening to it, you will feel as if you have just finished reading a good book. The unique and distinctive style of playing the electric bass with a bow leaves a strong impression on the viewer, and the way he builds up sounds layer by layer on the spot is one-of-a-kind.The fragile yet powerful sound of the songs sometimes evokes a far more vivid scene than songs with lyrics. All songs were recorded in one-shot at a mountain lodge in Izu Amagi Kogen, and mixed and mastered by GHOSTINMPC, which is renowned for mastering other artists and repairing and customizing the AKAI MPC series.
