A new album on the TACET label conducted by András Keller, who is active worldwide as concertmaster of the Budapest Festival Orchestra and violinist of the Keller Quartet, and in recent years has also been active as a conductor. The new album includes Bruckner: Symphony No. 9 (S 245 #4009850 024545), Dvořák: Symphony No. 9 (S 250 #4009850 025047), Shostakovich: Symphonies Nos. 9 & 5 (S 253 #4009850 025344), Schubert: Symphony No. 8 (9) (S 249 #4009850 024941), this is the fifth installment of the "9th Symphony Performance Project". Keller, who has been active in string quartets for many years, brings out rich sounds from the orchestra by delicately harmonizing the sound quality and timbre of each instrument as if it were chamber music. In this album, we can hear conductor Keller's wonderful sound creation from the first note to the climax of the final movement, in which the string quartet takes the lead, and the silence that follows, along with beautifully clear music.The recording and reproduction technology of the TACET label, which is renowned for its excellent sound, further accentuates the excellence of this performance.
