The third release features Symphony No. 1 in D minor, op. 13, and Piano Concerto No. 1 in F-sharp minor, op. 1, with Evgeny Sudobin as soloist. Symphony No. 1 in D minor was premiered in 1897, but was not performed during Rachmaninoff's lifetime due to its poor success, and was revived in 1945. The work was revived in 1945. Lan Shui gives a powerful performance of this work, which exudes the energy of the young Rachmaninoff.
