Since this is the most important work in the history of Jamaican music from Ska to Jamaica, we can almost hear the joy of reggae fans all over the world at this big news.\n\nThis album was quietly released on the EVE label in the UK in 1976, and is an unknown legendary album by the great tenor man TOMMY MCCOOK, who has been leading the Jamaican music scene at the forefront since the SKATALITES era.\n\n\n\nSpeaking of 1976, many fans may remember \"TENNOR IN ROOTS\" (also known as \"HORNY DUB\"), the most powerful instrumental horn dub album that was successfully reissued by BLOOD\u0026amp;FIRE. In fact, \"REGGAE IN JAZZ\" is a great horn instrumental album too.\n\nIt uses dub and instrumental tracks from the early to mid-70s, and MCCOOK's horns breathe fire on top of them. Most of the tracks on this album are special and can only be heard here.It is also an extremely rare album, with collectors all over the world searching with their eyes for the original version.\n\nAll of the tracks are top-notch reggae instrumentals, but my personal highlight has to be \"BLACK OUT\". A killer dub track straight out of Tubby's, with melodica that could have been Pablo's and MCCOOK's sublime horns blaring over the top.\n\n\n\nThis feat was successfully reissued by the prestigious UK reissue label, PRESSURE SOUNDS, with Steve Barrow of BLOOD \u0026amp; FIRE handling the English liner notes.\n\nThe blood of jazz in reggae, which has been flowing since the legendary \"Jazz Jamaica\" era before SKATALITES, has been passed down from ska to roots and dub.
