The 16th installment of the Bored Teenagers series, a compilation album featuring obscure UK punk from the late '70s to early '80s, will be released in 2025. The LP includes all 16 tracks and comes with an A5-sized 16-page booklet. This release opens with MARTIN & THE BROWNSHIRTS. The compilation track is an unreleased song recorded in 1978, never heard outside the band until now. It comes from the original master tape, preserved in the archives by the former manager for 47 years. The second act is MONOLITH, a proto-punk band influenced by the emerging punk scene despite being a rock band. The track comes from a rare private press 7-inch single, pressed in only 500 copies in 1978.

The third group features unreleased tracks by CHAOS, a teen punk band based in Cheshire. All members were official members of Eric's nightclub and reportedly played there several times as support for touring bands.

The fourth act to appear is THE ONE TAKES, hailing from Ayrshire, Scotland. A regular fixture on the punk scene at the time, they released a rare four-track EP in 1980. Their biggest turning point came in 1980 when they supported THE CLASH on their "16 Tons Tour." In 1981, they released the cassette album "WRITING THE EPITAPHS BEFORE WE BEGAN," from which most of the tracks featured here originate. Fifth up is THE MOPEDS. Hailing from Poole, a coastal town in Dorset, they were just a stone's throw from the popular resort of Bournemouth. The band formed in this area during the very earliest days, likely one of the region's first punk bands. Its members included those who would later become power pop heroes in THE TOURS and SKAVENGERS. The sixth group features long-lost recordings from THE LICE, one of the earliest punk bands formed in the Teesside area. Like MARTIN & THE BROWNSHIRTS, all tracks were recorded directly from original master tapes preserved by one of the former members. This tape had never been heard by anyone since it was recorded. At the time, several pirated copies were circulating, but they were reportedly very crude.

Tracklisting:

1.
