New album by pianist Jelena Stojkovic, born into a musical family in Prizren (Kosovo) and studied at the music academies of Belgrade and Munich. She is currently a piano instructor at the Leopold Mozart Music College at the University of Augsburg and since 2016 has conducted the choir at the St. Jovan Vladimir Serbian Orthodox Church in Munich. Acclaimed for her innovative and cross-cultural repertoire, Stojkovic's first solo album, Roses of the East, combines Russian Romantic masterpieces by Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov, and others, with contemporary Eastern European works, and represents a very personal journey into the landscape of her musical homeland. to the landscapes of her musical homeland.
