Bavetz’s new recording features Haydn’s concertos, joining his extensive catalog of solo piano works by Debussy and Beethoven.\nThe conductor is none other than Gábor Takács-Nagy, the Hungarian maestro who is also a founder of the Takács Quartet and has been expanding his career as a conductor in recent years—making his Shando debut! Also not to be missed is the long-awaited return of the Manchester Camerata, the chamber orchestra based in Manchester, England, where Takács-Nagy succeeded Douglas Boyd as principal conductor.\nFor the piano, he chose a Yamaha—the same model he has consistently used throughout his Haydn sonata recordings. He uses his own cadenzas for all of them.
