Russian soprano Perechacko's fourth Sony Classical release, titled "Russian Light," is literally a long-awaited collection of arias and songs by Russian composers from her native country. The recent (March 2017) performance of "Lucia" at the New National Theatre of Japan, where she captivated audiences with her beautiful stage appearance and overwhelming voice, is fresh in our minds, and we are even more excited about this new work. This album is truly an excerpt from an opera that has left a deep imprint on the music of all of Russia. The R=Korsakov piece in particular is the one she sang when she won the competition. The opera The Emperor's Bride, which she sang under Barenboim's direction at the Berlin State Opera's 2013 season and received rave reviews for "her silvery tone and solid maturity. This is an album that allows you to enjoy her breathtaking soprano. ＜Olga Pelechacko was born in St. Petersburg in 1980.From an early age, she studied with the children's choir at the Mariinsky Theatre, and in 2005 became a member of the Hamburg State Opera, where she won second prize in the "Operalia" competition in 2007. She has since appeared at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Bavarian State Opera, and the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, where she won acclaim. Currently based in Berlin, in her personal life Mrs. Michele Mariotti is one of the most notable Italian conductors. Sony Music
