During his second round of treatment, James did the only thing that felt natural to him: he wrote a solo album about this experience. He played, sang, recorded, and even mixed the tracks himself.\n\nUsing a laptop with virtual studio software and an inexpensive microphone, he began sketching out musical ideas.
