Released "Tree," an album that immerses the listener in 24 hours of nature's most majestic creation, The, a composer/arranger for U2, Coldplay, Peter Gabriel, Blur, and more, who also founded the Factory Classics label with Tony Wilson. John Metcalfe, viola player for the Durutti Column, who founded the Factory Classics label with Tony Wilson, was composing instinctively and spontaneously when the idea for the album "Tree" came to him. Tree immerses the listener in 24 hours of nature's most majestic creation. The album is born out of John Metcalfe's desire to write works on a larger scale, which is a natural reaction for someone who composes in the silence and solitude of the recent pandemic era. 'The piece I was writing was big, and yet it was trying to be bigger. So I figured it had to have something to do with it. And I thought about one of the most profound experiences of my life," Metcalfe says.It was to see a mature Tane Mahuta tree, known as the world's largest kauri tree.

Tracklisting:

.Xylem
.Canopy
.Root to Leaf
.Stasis
.Tane Mahuta
.Dusk
.Night
.Sunrise
