It’s strange how, when you hear this piece performed by Wandt, it seems even more magnificent than the “Jupiter” or Symphony No. 40. The orchestra’s character—a stark contrast to that of the North German Radio Symphony Orchestra—truly comes to life here, with beautiful violins, a soft yet rich lower register, and full-bodied woodwinds, allowing you to fully savor the charm typical of a South German orchestra. The sound quality is also superb, and it’s a real pleasure to hear Vant’s clear sound—every nuance comes through without any muddiness.
