Medl & Kylbert's fantastic 1955 "Siegfried" in its entirety sees the light of day! Here comes the first-ever recording of the Wagnerian madness: the Kylebert's "Siegfried" from the Bayreuth Festival on August 12, 1955. Only the third act was released in March 2022 on PH21055, but this is the long-awaited full-length version.The best known recording of Kylebert's "Siegfried" from the 1955 Bayreuth Festival is the Testamento disc, which is from the July 26 performance, with Varnai as Brünnhilde! The "Siegfried" was performed on July 26, 1964. This year, "Siegfried" was performed twice, and this album is the second cycle, on August 12. The cast of "Siegfried" in 1955 was the same except for Brünnhilde, which is very welcome since we have not been able to hear this one, although "Götterdämmerung" and "Die Walküre" were also performed at the same festival and released on disc.
