This project, a team effort between Khoteyev and Fedoseyev, who both have an obsession with Tchaikovsky, contains a complete set of his works for piano and orchestra. The first and second movements of the famous Piano Concerto No. 1 are the current version, but the cut sections of the third movement have been restored based on the autograph score. The third movement has been restored based on the original score, and is about two minutes longer than usual. Similarly, the Piano Concerto No. 2 and the Concerto Fantasy are also valuable in that the parts that are usually cut are performed correctly. Tchaikovsky himself completed only the first movement of Piano Concerto No. 3, but the remaining Andante and Finale are reproduced in a large work of 46 minutes in three movements, with a draft of the work for piano and orchestra by Taneyev, a favorite pupil of Tchaikovsky. Also valuable are \"Allegro for Piano and Strings,\" which was written as an assignment for Tchaikovsky's student days, and the mysterious \"Song of the Hungarian Gypsies\" from his final years. It is said that Liszt composed \"Song of the Hungarian Gypsies\" for his pupil, pianist Zofie Mentor, but did not have the strength left to orchestrate it, so he left it to Mr. Tchakovsky. However, since Tchakovsky had publicly declared his dislike of Liszt, it is said that Mentor, fearing that Liszt would refuse his request, falsely claimed that the song was his own, but it has not yet been confirmed that the song is Liszt's original composition. The bonus track includes the famous voice of Tchaikovsky. The recording was made in 1890, just as Tchaikovsky was composing the pieces on the disc, so you can get a sense of the atmosphere of the recording. Andrei Khoteyev was born in 1946. He studied with Naumov at the Moscow Conservatory, but was strongly influenced by Richter, who recognized him. Both Fedoseyev's love of Tchaikovsky shows the fundamental strength of the former Soviet School.
