Kwon Yo-an studied at The Juilliard School and the Mannes School of Music and is highly regarded in both chamber music and solo performance.\nThis album features Sonata No. 1, which possesses the classical balance and freshness characteristic of early works dedicated to his teacher Antonio Salieri; Sonata No. 6, which retains a bright, lyrical charm despite having been written during a difficult period when he was suffering from deteriorating hearing; and the lighthearted and dynamic Sonata No. 8.
