He then entered the National Conservatory of Lyon, where he studied under Michel Becquet. He later studied under Gilles Millière at the Paris Conservatoire, graduating at the top of his class. After serving as principal trombonist of the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, he went on to become principal trombonist of the Paris Opera Orchestra. In 1986, he received the Honorary Prize at the Markneukirchen International Music Competition. He also achieved third place at the Toulon International Music Competition in 1989, among other distinguished accomplishments. He is currently a professor at the Paris National Regional Conservatory of Music, as well as a visiting professor at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music in Japan. On this album, Jacques Moje delivers an outstanding solo performance backed by a majestic trombone choir of 20 musicians.
Furthermore, Professor Irvin Wagner—who effectively served as the independent producer of this album—is a close friend of Jacques Moje and arranged several of the pieces included here. Professor Wagner also specializes in jazz, and In “Contrasts,” a composition by Professor Wagner, the literal contrast between Jack Moje’s and Professor Wagner’s classical and jazz performances is a highlight. Furthermore, “Tour de Piste,” composed to commemorate Jack Moje’s 50th birthday, features a melancholic and exceptionally beautiful sound enhanced by percussion—it is sure to captivate listeners.
Music Store JP
