Valentino costumes! The much-talked-about \"La Traviata\" is finally being released on Blu-ray! Directed by Sofia Coppola, one of the leading female film directors of our time, with costumes by Valentino Garavani, a leading Italian fashion designer, and stage design by Nathan Crowley, who has worked on many major Hollywood productions including \"The Prestige\" and \"The Dark Knight\". The production attracted a great deal of attention not only from the opera world, but also from the fashion and movie worlds. It was also performed in Japan in 2018 to great acclaim. The production of Verdi's masterpiece opera \"La Traviata,\" which tells the conflicted and pure love story of Violetta, a high-class prostitute in 19th-century Paris society, is now being released on Blu-ray. Valentino himself designed the elegant and bewitching costumes for Violetta, whose vivid red color is impressive, and the rest of the costumes worn on stage were created by the Valentino staff under his direction. Sofia Coppola has been creating films about women from her unique perspective and aesthetic sense, such as \"Lost in Translation,\" which was shot entirely in Japan, and \"Marie Antoinette,\" which depicts the life of Queen Marie Antoinette. La Traviata\" is a story about a woman, which is exactly her theme. The film depicts Violetta's change of heart and her living and dying for her true love. Of course, the cast is also noteworthy: Francesca Dotto as Violetta and Antonio Pauly as Alfredo, who were also in the cast of the 2018 tour of Japan. Francesca Dotto made her opera debut in 2012 as Musetta in \"Boheme\" at Teatro La Fenice, and since then her talent has been recognized and she has expanded her career to include Lucrezia in \"Lucrezia Borgia\" at Teatro Verdi in Padua and Violetta in \"La Traviata\" in Sassari and Bari. She is a singer to watch. She sings Violetta's complex and changing emotions with great skill.Antonio Pauly, who attracted attention when he sang Count Almaviva in Mercadante's \"Two Figaro\" at the 2011 Salzburg Pentecostal Festival, conducted by Riccardo Muti, is now recognized by the world's theaters as an up-and-coming tenor singer. Giorgio will be sung by Roberto Frontali, the best baritone of his generation. The cast is full of talented singers.
