Piano Concerto No. 27 was recorded in October 2012 at a Paris Orchestra subscription concert, shortly before Pressler turned 89. As Mozart’s final concerto, this work is beloved as a masterpiece of sublime beauty. Pressler’s gentle performance, completely free of any sense of artifice, offers a poetic and deeply evocative experience. Likewise, the encore—Debussy’s “Clair de Lune”—is a performance brimming with delicacy and lyricism that resonates deep within the listener’s heart.\n\nThen there is No. 23, performed at a commemorative concert celebrating his 90th birthday.
