As a producer, DJ, label owner, collaborator, remixer, radio personality, and DJ of DJs, he has been acclaimed not only for his phenomenal productivity, but also for the sheer depth and diversity of his work.\n\n\n\nIn the past, Trago's unique DJ sets attracted a great deal of attention, and he was a resident DJ at the prestigious Trouw and De School clubs in Amsterdam, where he bounced around some of the best clubs in Europe for a decade, but in recent years he has been appearing less frequently.\n\nHe is now more selective about where (and when) he DJs and performs live, and while he plays a select few venues and festivals, he tries to keep his travels sustainable and exciting. Instead of touring and spending his nights on the road, Trago has chosen to focus on making music and regularly appears on radio shows such as NTS, Radio Radio Radio, BBC Radio, and EchoBox.\n\n\n\nHe now spends most of his time producing and remixing music at his new SR-3 studio in Alkmaar and his seaside home and studio in Bergen aan Zee. With these lifestyle and career changes, Trago has set aside time to delve deeper into his musical inspirations as well as himself. Tom has always explored a wide range of production styles, drawing inspiration from them to develop his own unique production style, but in recent years he has taken that exploration even further. Driven by a desire to constantly challenge himself, Tom is constantly trying new things in the studio, putting everything he has developed over the course of his fast-paced career into it.\n\n\n\nSince his 2006 debut, Trago has released six critically acclaimed albums (including the archival 18, released on the eclectic, beat-oriented career-spanning Patta label, and the dancefloor-oriented Trembala, released in 2022 ), worked extensively with Dutch electronic music heavyweights Rush Hour and Dekmantel, and has released music with numerous friends and contemporaries (Charlie Soul Clap, Awanto 3, Maxi Mill, Steffi, San Proper, Seth Troxler, BokBok, etc.).\n\n\n\nHe has remixed artists such as New Order, Carl Craig, Cassius, Tiga, and Erol Alkan, and has introduced many Dutch producers to the world through Voyage Direct, the label he founded in 2009.
