Meanwhile, while *CriticalThot* marks ShaRay’s official debut album, she has already garnered significant acclaim as a rising talent. Haram first noticed ShaRay’s talent after seeing her perform at a show in Brooklyn in 2022. A joint performance by Armand Hammer and DJ Haram in Los Angeles served as the catalyst for their meeting. This led to a cross-state collaboration between the two, which ultimately resulted in the album *CriticalThot*. The entire album was produced remotely. Haram created beats in Brooklyn and sent them to ShaRay, who then sent back demos and feedback. The lyrics are sharp and refreshingly direct.
