Description:
A great accomplishment! Marconi Notaro's "No Sub Reino dos Metazoarios" ('73), a hidden treasure of Brazilian psychedelic music, featuring Lula Cortes & Ze Hamalho, has been reissued from the original master! No Sub Reino dos Metazoarios" ('73) is the only work by musician and poet Marconi Notaro. Along with Lula & Larison's "Satwa" ('73) and Lula Cortes & Zé Hamáryo's "Paebiru" ('75), it is known as one of the most famous albums representing the "Psicodelia Nordestina (Nordesti Psyche)" psyche movement in Pernambuco state, northeastern Brazil. For many years, it was believed that the master tapes had been lost due to two floods at Hosenblich Studios. However, it was discovered that the master tapes had miraculously remained undamaged because they had been preserved on the top shelf of the studio, based on the belief that "equipment can be replaced, but nothing can replace a master tape. The master has now been officially reissued under license from the Notaro daughters, who own the master. There is not much to say about the music. The world of the music is always a spectacular fusion of natural elements such as water and wind, melodies of sorrow played by the unique string instrument Tricordio Acustico, which Lula Cortes brought back from India and developed uniquely in Brazil, and heavy acid sounds with a lot of effects. The reissue of this album is a reproduction of the original album. This reissue comes in a gatefold jacket that recreates the original, and includes an insert featuring previously unreleased photos provided by Notaro's family. This is a great reissue, as the original was priced at several hundred thousand dollars!
