BEAT LOVE ORACLE, an avant/jazz-rock band led by Frank Nuyts (key/marimba/vo), a Belgian composer and musician who also works as a classical composer, has released their first full-length album in 2010, following their EP "WHO'S COUNTING? Following the EP "WHO'S COUNTING?" released in 2008, BEAT LOVE ORACLE released their first full-length album in 2010! The album features a strange interplay between the two top-notch instruments, a lively marimba and a saxophone that runs through precise phrases, reminiscent of Zappa at one time, plus a rhythm section with a bass that hits the second main melody and drums that move freely, creating a sound that at times approaches Canterbury music. The sound of the chamber-jazz-rock line is interesting enough. The songs were probably all composed in advance, but the improvisation-like scenes, such as the random song development and the blank moments, have increased from the previous album, and the tension of free jazz style is also present. It is a powerful work that sublimates the inflected pop sense and humor from HARDSCORE with a more modern sense and a jazzy touch!
