The second Brahms symphony series on the SDG label, led by Gardiner, features Symphony No. 2. The second Brahms symphony series on the SDG label, led by Gardiner, features Symphony No. 2, coupled with Stutzmann's Alto Rhapsody and others in an attractive program. Gardiner himself had some difficulty deciding what kind of program to present for each of the Brahms symphonies, but by combining this second symphony with Brahms's vocal works, as well as those of Brahms's contemporaries and those of composers who lived a little earlier, he was able to create a program that was more than just a combination of Brahms's second symphony and Brahms's first symphony, but also a combination of the two symphonies. The combination of this No. 2 and Brahms' vocal works, as well as the vocal works of Brahms' contemporaries and those of composers who lived a little earlier in his life, has made the vocal elements in Brahms' No. 2 come to life more vividly. In the opening Alto Rhapsody, Stutzman, whose voice has recently become softer and more appealing, sings with sincerity about the traveler's journey from despair to hope.Her voice prepares the listener for the symphonic world. In the main symphony, the opening horns, with their unique extended resonance and warmth of the original instruments, softly relax our senses and hearts. In the final movement, under Gardiner's direction, classical form and romantic love coexist in perfect balance. In the final movement, the winds are superb, and the music closes triumphantly with a radiant sound. ［Comments courtesy of King International.]\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"SDG (Soli Deo Gloria)","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46064560308513,"sku":"843183070329","price":3590.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/843183070329.jpg?v=1691121457","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/843183070329","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
