By sifting through every available source in the Vatican and other libraries, he has provided invaluable insights into the origins of this music. Sadly, not a single score from Allegri’s lifetime has survived to the present day, and what we typically hear today is music that contains errors made during transcription or the result of eccentric interpretations. What we have attempted to do is to use a wealth of source material to show how this work has changed over the centuries and evolved into the form that audiences know and love today.
Tokyo M Plus

Tracklisting:

.Missa Regina caeli: Kyrie
.Improperium exspectavit cor meum
.Missa Regina caeli: Agnus Dei 1-3
.Miserere - Its Evolution
.The Strathclyde Motets: Dominus dabit benignitatem
.The Strathclyde Motets: O radiant dawn
.The Strathclyde Motets: Videns Dominus
.Stabat Mater a 8
.Vineam meam non custodivi (from Song of Songs)
.Regina caeli laetare a 8
.Pulchrae sunt genae tuae (from Song of Songs)
.Miserere
