They are releasing the album *Illusion*, featuring Messiaen’s *Illusion d’Amen* for two pianos and solo pieces inspired by “The Bells”!\nMessiaen’s *The Illusion of Amen* was premiered in May 1943 by Yvonne Loriod (first piano) and Messiaen (second piano). Renowned composers such as Poulenc and Honegger were among the audience members.\nEmard, who established a direct connection with Messiaen by joining Lorieux’s class at the age of 12, has experienced Messiaen and Lorieux’s performances firsthand on numerous occasions and has long been captivated by the profound depth of this work. This recording was made possible through a collaboration with his student, Stefanovich.
