Composed in 1969, *The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires* is a work brimming with the sensual, nuanced groove unique to Piazzolla, the “revolutionary of tango.” Steinbacher, who also excels at Latin music, delivers a performance that is bold and full of determination. Although the original work was composed for bandoneon, violin, guitar, piano, and double bass, this recording features the version arranged by Peter von Wienhard for violin and chamber orchestra.
