The group also gives a chamber music series that runs throughout the year; the number of players and the instrumentation change from project to project, but a core of Swedish and Danish period-instrument musicians based in the region remains constant. Höör Barock is also known for its energetic recording activity. Following \"Telemann, Corelli, Bach\" (BIS SA 2235) with Dan Laurin and his wife, its recording of Roman's Music for the Golovin Court (BIS SA 2355) won a Swedish Grammis award in 2020, and the ensemble was engaged, together with the baroque ensemble of Lund, for a complete recording of Monteverdi's L'Orfeo (BIS SA 2519).\nThe recorder player Emelie Roos, one of Höör Barock's core members, took part in these recordings; on the first of them she shared the solo duties with Dan Laurin in Corelli's Concerto No. 4 in D major and Concerto No. 8 in G minor \"for two recorders\".\n\nThe new album presents works drawn from two of the three collections held by the Akademiska Kapellet of Lund University and from the collection of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music in Stockholm. These music collections were assembled with the involvement of Christian Wenster the elder (1704-1779), organist in Lund and Karlshamn; Heinrich Christoph Engelhardt (1694-1765), organist in Karlskrona and Uppsala and director of music at Lund University; and Roman, who played the violin under Handel and served as master of the court music in Stockholm. As the subtitle \"Treasures from Swedish Collections\" suggests, they contain an enormous quantity of music, including the most up-to-date works of the day.\nVivaldi, Sammartini, Bernardi, Corelli and Handel. As Emelie Roos puts it, this is a collection offering \"the joy of letting the imagination roam freely and of making long-forgotten music sound in the streets we walk today\".\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Proprius","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53374658248993,"sku":"822359003200","price":3141.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/822359003200.jpg?v=1787632230","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/822359003200","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
