In his solo debut concert under the auspices of the San Francisco Symphony, Wilson was well received, "possessing all the beauty and delicacy one would expect from Debussy. He has participated in numerous world premieres, including premieres of solo piano works by his teacher Michael Tilson Thomas and duo works by Timo Andres and Judith Lang Zymont. As a soloist, he has performed with the San Francisco Symphony and the New World Symphony. He is also one of the hottest young artists, having won awards in numerous international competitions, and in 2019 he will be awarded first prize in the Respighi International Competition. Wilson made his debut with an American album featuring works by his teacher, Michael Tilson Thomas.Avie Vol. 2 combines three preludes by Gershwin with arranged works by Rachmaninoff and Gershwin by Earl Wild, the virtuoso American pianist best known for his virtuoso pianism.
