Harding and the London Symphony Orchestra take on a Turnage work. Mark-Anthony Turnage is a British composer born in 1960. He is considered one of the few classical composers capable of writing genuine modern jazz. He also composed the quasi-planet \"Ceres\" as a sequel to Holst's \"The Planets,\" which has attracted the attention of celestial geeks. From the Wreckage\" is a trumpet concerto composed in 2005 for the virtuoso trumpeter Håkan Hardenberger. In addition to the usual trumpet, flugelhorn and piccolo trumpet are used to depict the struggle from darkness to light. The latest work of 2012, \"Speranza,\" is a 40-minute masterpiece in four movements. The title is Italian for \"hope,\" but the content is based on the literature of Paul Celan (1920-1970), a Romanian-Jewish writer who committed suicide in the Seine River. The first piece quotes a Palestinian chant, the second an Israeli straw song, and the fourth a Jewish folk song, but the whole is colorful in a film music style. Harding is also in full swing with a jazz-like groove. It is a very cool contemporary music.
