Furthermore, Donato Renzetti’s conducting—which places great emphasis on stylistic integrity—is superb, and Dennis Creeve’s direction, which skillfully blends traditional staging with a modern aesthetic, is magnificent. To top it all off, the video is crystal-clear (this is the first “Luisa Miller” release on Blu-ray Disc), this release is truly worthy of being called the definitive edition of *Luisa Miller*.
